Students from Year 11 Vis Comm visited the Cape Paterson Eco Village recently.
They were very lucky to be given a tour of the display homes and estate by Tad Hendry from Adapt Design Group.
This excursion was a great learning experience for the students and they were taught about passive design, thermal mass, cross flow ventilation and how this type of housing is the prototype of the future.
It was also great for the students to see how designs go from a drawing to a built form and the drawing types that are required to build it. A stop over at the Lolly Shop in Inverloch was also a highlight.
