LSC’s Koori students were invited to attend The LUME Connection exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Born from an idea to celebrate First Nations art and music and give back to it’s artist communities, this experience tells the story of our country’s rich cultural history. The most expansive tapestry of First Peoples’ art ever assembled, Connection brings to life over 650 works from 110 visual and musical artists in the world’s largest digital art gallery, making it an unmissable experience for all”.

This excursion was a direct result of the input from our Campfire students regarding what they wanted to see, learn and do more of in relation to their indigenous heritage here at school.

Students described the experience as amazing and magical and they strongly encourage other people to visit the exhibition.
