The study of Geography is a structured way of exploring, analysing and understanding the characteristics of places in our world. Students of Geography study key questions concerning places and geographic events, explored through fieldwork and case study investigations.

Skill Development
Construction and interpretation of visual data such as maps, graphs and diagrams. Collecting, presenting and analysing fieldwork and research data.

Fieldwork reports, case study research reports and structured questions.
Activities/Camps/Excursions
We conduct fieldwork in the local area and in metropolitan Melbourne. Unit 3 involves fieldwork investigating land use change on the urban rural fringe. In Unit 1 and 2 students conduct fieldwork exploring hazards and the impacts of tourism.
Career Options
These include environmental management and conservation, wildlife management and nature tourism town and urban planning; climatology and physical sciences.
