Description
In this practical, hands-on course, students investigate how vehicles and small engines operate while developing the knowledge and skills required for automotive servicing and maintenance. Through a combination of theoretical and workshop-based activities, students gain an understanding of automotive systems, workshop procedures, and industry standard servicing techniques.
Students will work on a variety of automotive and small engine applications, learning how to inspect, maintain, test, and repair components using appropriate tools and equipment. Emphasis is placed on developing practical workshop skills, understanding vehicle operation, and applying safe work practices in an automotive environment.
The course provides students with exposure to a broad range of automotive systems including engines, electrical systems, steering, braking, and general vehicle maintenance.
