Congratulations to the Year 10 Debating Team who won against Mary MacKillop College in the Rotary Debating Competition last night. The speaking three were Charlotte Cashin, Hannah Hogarth and Alex Lawry.
The students worked hard to prepare (including the members of the broader team who didn’t speak this time – Oliver Silcock, Jasmine Gurney, Daisy Lawson Hendry and Kelsey Fisher), and it paid off. Hannah Hogarth won best speaker. They all spoke really well, and deserved the win.
The team will now go forward into the final against Chairo Christian School on the 30th of October. The event will be taking place at Woorayl Golf Club, from 7.15pm. Put it in your calendars if you’d like to offer these students your support!
