This semester, Year 10 students at Leongatha Secondary College have been involved in a Social Innovators Program offered through Crazy Ideas College in partnership with South Gippsland Shire Council.
Students have identified problems and concerns within their local community and developed innovated solutions to assist communities members being affected by these problems.
This week students met with Freya Fajgman (Crazy Ideas College) and Sophie Dixon (South Gippsland Shire Council) to pitch their innovative project ideas and gain important feedback to define and improve their project goals and connect with community mentors.
Later this term students will implement trials and create proposals for South Gippsland Shire Council and Regional Sports Victoria.
