The Year 7 and 9 students who undertook NAPLAN (National Assessment Program-Literacy and Numeracy) performed extremely well this year and even though student’s individual growth could not be measured (due to no testing in 2020), when compared to our own results over the last five years, the median scores in each test demonstrates an improvement overall.
All of the students who undertook NAPLAN testing in 2022, should be extremely proud of the effort that they applied and conduct they displayed when engaging across these days back in May. We do trust that when families receive their student/s results in the mail in the coming week/s, that they have the opportunity to sit together and discuss these and recognise their individual achievement and level of attainment.
We would also like to take this moment to congratulate the following students who received a Certificate for ‘Achievement of Excellence’ in Reading and/or Numeracy, from the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) for their top-ranking results.

Well done! To say that we are proud of our student’s achievements is an understatement; They are a reflection of positive learning engagement levels over the past two years, their own ability and preparedness to learn and engage, and also the wonderful, dedicated work that our staff are placing into ensuring that lessons and programs are having an impact. This feedback that we have received in the way of student achievement levels, in combination with other student data throughout the year, is what we use to drive our improvement in teacher practice and we are pleased to see it come into effect.
