On Friday the 29th of July, the Year 8 girls and boys and the Senior girls and boys basketball teams, travelled to Wonthaggi and Korumburra for Inter School Basketball.
All teams played exceptionally well, with the Senior girls team winning the day and going through to the Gippsland Finals.
A major highlight of the day was seeing the Year 8 girls come from behind to upset Bass Coast Dudley on the buzzer in the bronze medal match.
Senior boys also played extremely well under super coaches Jude Fixter and Robbie “Coach K” Reardon, coming home with the silver medal.
The year 8 boys couldn’t quite get the points when it mattered and came away in 4th place for the day.
A massive thank you to Archie Fixter, Connor Richards and Zac Evans for their exceptional umpiring skills on the day. Overall, a fantastic effort by all involved and we look forward to seeing what the next basketball day brings when the Year 7s and 9/10s take to the courts.
