Our library provides a wide range of information resources and facilities to meet both the curriculum and the recreational needs of students.

Developing information literacy skills through research and fostering lifelong learning is the philosophy that underpins the library at Leongatha Secondary College. The library staff advises student’s on how to locate, evaluate and use the most suitable resources for research.

In order to assist students with wider reading, the library staff make suggestions and organize and encourage students to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge. It supports the teaching and learning in the school with participation in Reading Circles and the Super Challenge Programme. The library also runs a monthly book club to support students in their recreational reading.

The library provides supervised spaces for students to actively engage in their learning as well as quiet study areas.
