Description
All Year 10 students are required to study at least one science subject. Vocational Science is designed for students who are interested in developing scientific literacy and practical problem-solving skills but are not planning to undertake VCE Chemistry, Physics or Biology. The subject focuses on applying science to everyday life, careers, industry and contemporary issues. Students investigate real-world problems and develop the skills needed to evaluate evidence, make informed decisions and understand how science influences society.

- “The Magic of Science”, using scientific principles to explain and perform magic tricks.

Career Options
Vocational Science provides a strong foundation in scientific literacy and practical problem-solving. It supports pathways into VCE Vocational Major, VET programs, trades, defence, agriculture, construction, health support services and a wide range of technical industries.
