Description
In this hands-on course, students will engage in the practical and theoretical aspects of automotive repair, focusing on developing a structured production plan for a selected repair project. Depending on the skill level of the student, projects may involve work on small engines (such as lawn mowers and chainsaws), vehicle systems, or other mechanical components.
Students will learn to diagnose common faults, plan repair procedures, and apply industry-standard techniques using appropriate tools and equipment. They will maintain a detailed journal to document their learning journey, including diagnosis steps, progress updates, tool use, safety procedures, challenges encountered, and reflections. This promotes personal organisation and supports literacy development through structured writing and technical vocabulary.
