LSC Celebrates Diversity – IDAHOBIT Day

DSC_5534

On Monday we celebrated IDAHOBIT Day at LSC. IDHOBIT Day is the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia and celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination. As a Respectful Relationships lead school, we stood together at LSC to combat any sort of discrimination at our school and within our community.

Over the day students participated in a variety of activities to show their support, including an instax photo booth, pledge/support cards and make your own button badge stand. All monies raised were donated to Headspace Wonthaggi to support their LGBTQUI+ youth support club.

Thank you to staff and students on the Respectful Relationships team for organising the celebrations.
