With support from The Salvation Army in Leongatha, LSC had celebrations on Tuesday 30 May as part of Youth Week that was actually in the school holidays.
Free breakfast was provided for all students and staff.
At lunchtime, we had beautiful live music by Ruby Box, face painting, a yoga class with Katrina Archibald, a basketball shooting competition and video game competition.
Youth Celebration day is LSC’s individual way of participating in the Victorian Youth Week which gives young people a chance to express their ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives. It’s also lots of fun and celebrates the positive contributions young people make to their communities.
Thanks to Melissa Hume and Brenda Stewart from The Salvation Army for supporting our school leaders and attending on the day to share information and provide information of their services to our students.
Thanks to the SRC students, the school leaders, the teachers who helped out, Mrs Serafino for buying the food for breakfast and Mrs O’Neill who co-ordinated the activities on the day. It was heaps of fun.
