Remembrance Day Ceremony

Leaders and wreath

Leongatha Secondary College, Leongatha Primary School and Leongatha Specialist School came together in the ECA Centre on Friday the 11th of November to commemorate the date the First World War came to an end in 1918.

The School Leaders from the schools lay wreaths under the Australian flag. Lily and Abbey introduced the ceremony, Will spoke about the symbolism of the poppy, Aurora spoke about the ‘Last Post’ and Chloe spoke about the importance of a minutes silence. The ‘Ode Of Remembrance’ was recited by Roxy, the ‘Last Post’ and ‘The Rouse’ were played by Mr Gracey and the LSC Choir sang the National Anthem.
