Year 11 student Billy O’Loughlan stood up in support of local student Elliot Vanderlain who is bravely fighting Dyskeratosis Congenita and Aplastic Anaemia. Dyskeratosis is a rare and incurable genetic disorder, estimated to occur in one out of a million people world wide. As a result of DC, Elliot is in bone marrow failure and requires a bone marrow transplant.
Billy has been selling Team Elliot wristbands and also organised a BBQ lunch fundraiser at LSC today to raise much needed funds for Elliot. Well done Billy on your initiative and support of Team Elliot.
